c. 1880-90s victorian sterling silver fruit knife. Features a repoussé floral motif, framed by a precise beaded border on a contoured handle. It has a slender seed pick, an uncommon secondary implement for flicking out seeds from melon and citrus.
The blades are also solid sterling. A deliberate material choice of the era, as silver does not react with the acidity of fruits. A fluid sweeping script is engraved on one side of the blade.
Excellent antique condition with a rich patina in the recesses. Blade remains straight with crisp engraving and good tension.
