PHILOSOPHY

"The buyers of useless things are wiser than commonly supposed—they buy little dreams... They possess them with the joy of a child gathering sea shells on the beach... He falls asleep with the two prettiest ones in his hand." — Fernando Pessoa,

There is a gentle defiance in loving beautiful and unnecessary things.

It started in Paris, with a vintage fish locket that I simply could not leave behind. It wasn’t a practical purchase; it was an instant, non-negotiable love. That locket became our logo, and that specific feeling is how every piece in this collection is chosen.

USELESS THINGS is a repository for these "useless" objects—the ones you want to fall asleep holding in your hand.

THE COLLECTION

I hand-source antique and vintage silver jewelry and curiosities, selecting every piece at the intersection of rarity and whimsy. Each object is chosen for its distinct form, its playful history, and a sharp, chic aesthetic that carries an unexpected sense of character. Many of the pieces carry the honest markers of their past lives: the dark, detailed oxidation settled into silver engravings, the deep patinas, and the subtle wear of time. These imperfections are a part of their character.

These are true antique and vintage pieces. While nothing is truly unique in the history of production, finding another is a near impossibility once an object is claimed.

OBJECT CARE

Don’t Over-polish: Avoid harsh chemical dips or aggressive silver polishes. To restore shine, simply buff the surface gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

Daily Wear: Silver is resilient, but it responds to its environment. To prevent premature tarnish or wear, avoid wearing your pieces in water and let lotions or perfumes dry before putting them on.

Safe Storage: When your objects aren't out in the world, store them in a cool, dark place to protect them from humidity and air.
